Week 5 Vermont HS Football QPRs

Saturday's games didn't change a lot in the standings but there were key results in all three divisions.

Perhaps the most notable was in Divison III, where Oxbow's victory over Fairfax moved the Olympians to two wins and dropped the Bullets into a tie among the bottom five teams for the last playoff spot. The deadlock will last only a week, though, as next Saturday's Fairfax-Poultney matchup will move the postseason cut line to two victories one way or the other.

Meanwhile, in Division I CVU stayed in the hunt for homefield in the quarterfinals by rolling past St. Johnsbury while Bellows Falls stayed within striking distance of league-leading Burr and Burton by getting past Milton.

All in all, there's still plenty still to be decided with three or four weeks to go in the regular season.

Anyway, here are the QPRs:

How do these numbers work? Teams receive 10 points for a win over a D1 opponent, 7 points for a win over a D2 opponent and 5 points for a D3 opponent. Teams also receive 2 points for every game won by the teams they have beaten. QPR is total points divided by games played.
